Addressing Children with Mental & Neurological Disorders

Children living with Neurological Disorders are stigmatized throughout societies and this results in the parents or guardians isolating them, this trauma leads to their Mental illness.

Needs of Children Living WithNeurological Disorders

Most Children living in Uganda with Neurological Disorder like Cerebral Palsy can be given Therapy to enable them walk & move around but the Parents lack enough funds for transporting these children to the therapy locations and also feel inconvienced to carry them around since they get heavy.

The Stigma around these children is high but They need;

1. Therapy to strengthen their muscles.

2. Wheel Chairs to Help them Move Around

3. Walkers to help them get balance on their feet.

The Unfortunate Story Of The Vulnerable Ones in The PenPal Program

There 32 Vulnerable Children in the PenPal Program, 10 of these are Orphans, 10 are Unfortunate Victims of the Kiteezi Land Slide.

The Remaining 12 are children of Vulnerable Single Mothers.
